From one extreme to another!

Avery was finally hit by the "cold" bug.  It started off where she was very congested and then she passed it onto her big brother.  Both were sick this weekend.  Caleb ended up going to the clinic first on Friday.  Doc said he had an acute upper respitory infection...then given Cefzil.  Then the next day, Avery got worse with vomiting and then the runs as well.  I eventually took her to the ER Sunday morning, as she had a horrible nights sleep...well mommy included!  Doc said she had a double ear infection along with an acute upper respitory infection...then given Zythromax.  So, in the end the weekend included: 2 young sick kids, 2 upper respitory infectsions, the runs and vomiting, fevers, coughing, 1 clinic visit, 1 ER visit, 2 different types of antibiotics...and a partridge in a pear tree!

Here is Avery drinking her homemade pedialite...you can tell from her face that she is not feeling well.

Avery trying to smile for mommy!

Here are pictures from Avery literally 2 days ago!  Here we are attempting to have her eat peas.  This is a funny story as McKayla and Caleb refused to eat them as babies.  Avery made her grandpa very proud when she ate the whole jar.  You can tell from her face that she was feeling good that day.

A little bit messy, but I ate it all!

I'm stuffed!

It's been half a year!

A good friend of mine made me realize that 6 months ago, our little ones left the NICU. Is that possible that 6 months ago, I brought Avery home?  She will soon be 8 months and yet her petite little body says she is 6 months corrected age.  Avery is able to sit up, but not completely on her own yet. She still moves from side to side, but we are hoping that she likes it enough to stay up on her own.  Avery moves everywhere.  When she sees the kitties or the puppies, she goes after them.  Whether it is rolling or pulling herself around, she finds ways to move.  She is also developing a personality on her own.  She can have a temper when she is hungry or when she is unable to accomplish something on her own...she must get that from me!

The evolution of Avery learning to crawl with a break inbetween!

So, what do you get when you have a son, who is 4 years old, and is all boy?

A daredevil at daycare who tries to jump really high and lands on his forehead...not stitches, just glue and strips.

Babies, babies, and more babies!

This weekend my brother and I came down with our families to visit my before she leaves to go to the Phillipines.  She will be gone for 2 months, so we took this as an opportunity to see her and be with family.  the babies (Avery, Jasmine, and Kherington) are growing like weeds.  They have had several conversations with each other and of course photo ops to show there cutie patootie smiles!  It is a handful though to watch over three infants.  Can't believe they will be turning 1 in several months.

Avery, Jasmine, and Kherington!

Hanging out before bedtime!

The flower is not big enough!

Avery posing her yellow dahlia!

Thanks to my friend Ashley and her beautiful daughter Anika, I have become obsessed with bows and big flowers.  Now those of you who know me well, when I had McKayla, I was anti headbands or bows, etc. I loved putting her hair in piggytails...that was in the past.  Avery and McKayla's collection is slowly growing.  This spring I am hoping to get a pic of my girls in their yellow flower headbands that were given by Nana, Uncle Paul, and Bridget.  Here is a preview of one of them!

Avery is growing like a weed.  In fact, just his week she is mobile!  No she is not a pro at crawling, but she is getting the movements down and before we know it, it is hello babygates and hello crazy mom making sure nothing will be on the floor.

I love Avery's little tiny feet! Notice that they are bare.  That is because my cutie patootie loves pulling off her socks.  My brother has convinced me that Puma makes this socks that do not come off easily.  I will have to test them on Avery...

A happy baby is a healthy baby!

Avery will be 8 months soon.  Hard to believe how much time has gone by.  She is in love with eating carrots, squash, sweet potato, and even green beans.  We are still trying to convince her that peas are yummy, but if you ask her, she will let you know how she feels about them.  Let's just say she has the temper of her mom and dad...  Avery's hair is getting thicker.  We are hoping that she will have curly hair like McKayla did when she was an infant.  I hope so because I loved playing with the ringlets.

My babies!

I was reading this blog about a very strong woman.  She had recently lost her daughter who was four months old and it makes you realize the importance of love that is needed to be shared with friends and family daily.

Now I know people usually feel this way after a funeral, but reading her daily postings makes me cry each day for her and her husband.  You can tell from the pictures that they loved her very much as any parent would.  I pray that she will grow stronger every day!

She gave everyone one word of advice and that was to take as many pictures as possible, because you never know...that is something that I already do, but I will also keep those that are not perfect.

My miracle baby Avery only a few days old born 10 weeks early.

My precious babies!

This is recent picture I took of the children with McKayla's DSi.
